Whole Wheat Waffles
Waffles are a family favorite in our house & of course, I'm always looking to make recipes healthier! So this is our spin on waffles... 2 eggs (beaten) 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 3/4 cup skim milk 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1 Tbls. Stevia 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. sea salt Mix until just combined & cook according to your waffle iron instructions. Top with fresh fruit, raw honey, pure maple syrup, or fruit juice sweetened jam.
